The Customer Portfolio Department is seeking an Application Administrator Lead to play a fundamental role in the operations of our Customer Team. In this position, you will solve problems collaboratively with internal stakeholders as you gather/analyze business requirements, understand functional needs, provide consultative guidance, and help identify appropriate technical solutions. Your expertise in premise-based and externally hosted cloud technologies paired with your ability to bridge functional and technical teams will ensure our stakeholders have the tools needed to support corporate portfolio systems and a wide variety of applications.

As a Lead Application Administrator, you will join our talented Application Administration Team responsible for proper administration that is critical to the operations and success of Colorado Springs Utilities. You will lead a team of talented Application Administrators to achieve Colorado Springs Utilities objectives and maintain application reliability and will provide guidance and leadership to inspire the team to perform at their highest potential – helping to ensure continuing and resiliency of our operations through ongoing support and maintenance of critical applications. You will be an integral part of creating and maintaining a cohesive, collaborative team that works efficiently to help provide maximum value to our organization and our customers.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Strong knowledge of Customer to Meter and Mobile Workforce Management applications

  • Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to provide value add services and systems to the organization

  • Lead team in maintaining integrity and performance of systems

  • Plan and lead execution of projects within the Customer group

  • Experience with On-Prem and Cloud technologies

  • Document processes and issues and train other administrators on how to handle issues

  • Coordinate and work with multiple groups within the organization to ensure the stability of the platforms

  • Advanced knowledge of automating processes in managing and monitoring systems

  • Provide technical background and experience to new projects and applications to maximize the benefit to Colorado Springs Utilities

  • Ability to quickly identify and solve issues with systems

  • Able to work independently and lead others in the completion of projects

  • Document and clearly communicate a variety of technical issues to a broad variety of audiences

  • Develop information solutions to meet the needs of the business

  • This position also requires participation and coordination of a 24/7 stand by rotation

Provide guidance to management in support of the following Services in the Customer Portfolio:

  • Customer care and billing

  • Customer self service

  • Metering

  • Mobile workforce management

  • Call Center as a Service (CCaaS)

Who you are...

Likely someone who comes with a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related field of study (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Additionally, significant years of progressive experience working as a leader in the organization as well as a system administrator supporting multiple applications in technology-oriented environments. Experience with the planning and leading execution of projects within the Customer to Meter and Mobile Workforce Management space and ITIL experience is preferred. Beyond the technical aspects of this position, you excel at leading and influencing others in ways that drive efficient results and team performance and engagement. Your strong interpersonal skills allow you to easily develop and maintain positive, trusting relationships with others. Furthermore, you empower others to achieve their potential and enjoy guiding others to success.
