Pay Range $59,696 to $76,630

Corporate Financial Analyst

The Corporate Financial Analyst is responsible for providing business support to the Planning & Finance Division (PFD) focusing on Cash/Investment Management and Debt Management functions assigned to the Treasury and Finance Department.

In addition, this position may perform some or all of the following functions related specifically to corporate level treasury planning: data analysis (research, data collection, review, interpretation, drawing conclusions), monitoring and tracking records / results, and/or developing processes to increase efficiency of operations or reduce cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of account analyses and reconciliations on a periodic basis involving cash and debt management functions for Colorado Springs Utilities and partner companies

  • Daily banking duties including receipts, deposits and various administrative functions involving several departments within Colorado Springs Utilities and partner companies

  • Act as a liaison between the bank and various internal banking system users

  • Participate in the preparation of an annual departmental budget and updating actual results monthly

  • Prepare journal entries for a variety of treasury-related transactions

  • Develop a working competency on a number of internal systems to extract information and prepare reports/analyses

  • Participate with the Treasury Team in Request for Proposal (RFP) submission evaluations

  • Develop job specific skills and abilities as a back-up resource to our Cash and Debt Analysts

What will it take to be successful in this position? The typical candidate offers a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or closely related field with 1-3+ years’ experience in an analytical and financial environment. Demonstrated and documented competency in the noted key responsibilities should be reflected in your resume. Strong data collection / research, forecasting, analytical, and budget skills would make you an ideal match for this role.
