**Electric Line Operations Supervisor II
The Electric Operations Supervisor II is responsible for managing and leading the operations activities of the electric construction, operations and maintenance crews responsible for performing underground work, overhead work, operational work or a combination of these. The work location may be at either of the North, Central or South Work Centers. The Supervisor will ensure the safe and efficient high-quality performance of staff and will contribute to the development and execution of short and long-range goals to include safety performance, budget monitoring, and workforce development. The Supervisor will be responsible to develop performance plans, drive continuous improvements, forecast workload, monitoring workload and direct activities to meet changing operations, service conditions and requirements. Additionally, the Supervisor will oversee the implementation and monitoring of programs, technology improvements, policies, and procedures to optimize operations and service performance and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Ensuring safe work practices and helping to continue to grow the safety culture within the Craft and Department
Partnering with peers within and outside of the department to identify and solve issues and achieve Craft, Department and Organizational goals
Seeking and implementing industry Best Practices by partnering with external organizations.
Hiring, supervising, developing, coaching, and mentoring staff, including monitoring and evaluating personnel per the Personnel Policies Manual
Ensuring efficient and transparent communications within the Work Center to facilitate employee engagement and trust-based employee relations
Helping to drive applicable technology enhancements to positively impact the quality and efficiency of the work performed by the Craft.
Managing resources (personnel, equipment, budgets) to optimize the Energy Construction, Operations and Maintenance Sections safety, functionality and efficiency
Developing short and long-term plans and performance goals supporting the department’s strategic planning goals and initiatives
Managing scheduled and unscheduled installations, repairs, replacements, and integrating preventative maintenance programs and corrective maintenance work orders
Providing Work Center point of contact for electric emergencies, both during regular work hours and after-hours, ensuring the necessary resources are allocated to resolve the issue
Subject Matter Expert for major storm response team who is typically responsible for partnering with peers to manage the restoration of affected electric services throughout the service territory
Researching, developing and monitoring programs to optimize operations, improve quality, and anticipate/meet regulatory, quality, safety, and other requirements
Developing, supervising and evaluating workforce development strategies and programs, apprenticeship and certification programs
Developing and administering the budget, forecasting resource needs and preparing specifications for personnel, equipment, materials, and supplies
Coordinating and scheduling work and operational requirements with other sections and outside agencies
Representing the Department or Organization in various internal and external meetings and functions
In addition, if selected, you will need to work overtime, weekends, holidays, etc. as business needs dictate.
What will it take to be successful: Most people in this position will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Line Crew Supervisor directing the activities of several subordinates in a crew environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated extensive craft experience including expertise in facilitating the tactical management of resources including personnel and equipment. In addition, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated superior teaming, supervisory, leadership, mentoring/coaching, and leading and adapting to change skills.
Typical Licensing/Certification Requirements:
Commercial Driver’s License is required
First Aide Certification, CPR Certification are all desirable
