Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking a Identity and Access Management Administrator is responsible for gathering and documenting functional requirements, designing technical views, and engage with cross functional IT teams for the configuration within the IAM software platform. You will work with application and data owners to ensure organizational access policies are followed, associates have the appropriate level of access (least privileged), and the required approvals are documented to meet audit and compliance requirements. The role operates under the direction of an Integration and Access Management Supervisor.
Key Areas of Focus:
Provide integrated, consistent and secure identity and access management solutions across our enterprise with a focus on Identity Governance
Liaison to business and technology partners and act as an IAM advocate for strategic projects
Perform application design activities (e.g. writing functional designs, use cases), portions of technical architecture, High Level Design (Software Design Specifications), Detailed Design Documents
On Call Duty - 24 X 7 (base on a rotational schedule within the team)
Apply advanced Identity Access Management concepts, processes, practices, and troubleshooting techniques to resolve problems
Assist the implementation teams in the least-privilege-based IAM solutions and of process improvements and automation
Perform troubleshooting of escalated issues with identity providers or integrations
Collaborate with others in the Identity and Security teams to establish standard operations, new capabilities, as well as provide input on developing access standards and reference frameworks related to Identity Access Management
Assist in the implementation, and support identity platforms and systems for managing access to all systems across the organization leveraging Azure AD and Active Directory Services
Who You are... Highly preferred candidates will be those who possesses exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to train and guide others and come with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or related field of study, or equivalent experience and two (2) years hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management and Active Directory is preferred . Additionally, experience in other enterprise directory services (Azure AD, Conditional Access, Microsoft Entra) with demonstrated skill and understanding of scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Bash) Basic object-oriented architecture and design skills. Those candidates with proficient knowledge of User/Group OUs, Group policies, ADFS, RBAC, SSO, PIM, SAML, MFA, CASB, familiarity with Physical Security Systems like CCURE 9000 and it’s components, iStar, Edge, Telaeris, VMS are highly sought as well.
Supplementary skills we are seeking:
Experience with implementing and administering MFA and Identity federation technologies
Security certification/accreditation including, CISM, CISSP, and GIAC are highly desired
Familiarity with information security policies, standards, industry best practices, and frameworks. (ISO 27K, NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, HITRUST, etc.)
Proficient at Requirements Elicitation, Requirement Management, and Use Case Modeling
Basic understanding of ITIL and IT-Service-Management
