Colorado Springs Utilities Business Account Management Team is looking for a consultative, customer-success oriented professional to help us establish, manage, and enhance relationships with our large business customers. In this position, you will lean on your utility (water, wastewater, gas, electric) expertise to lead strategic communication, account planning, and implementation efforts for energy and water management strategies. This includes helping our business customers leverage data, trends, renewables, water conservation, and other demand response programs offered by Colorado Springs Utilities, in-order-to streamline energy usage, realize cost savings and increase customer satisfaction.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Cultivating and managing relationships with large business customers, proactively providing utility expertise

  • Managing the planning and distribution of monthly sector communications to over 1000+ customers

  • Making quality decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgment

  • Communicating with senior-level decision-makers and seeking opportunities to increase customer satisfaction

  • Interpreting and applying laws and regulations

  • Serving as the point of contact for understanding business customer needs and utility consumption patterns

  • Assuming leadership roles in associations

  • Providing solutions to mid-market customer issues and coordinate programs to meet business customer needs

  • Working with internal partners across the organization to deliver solutions and services to customers

  • Advising customers on demand-side management, water conservation, and renewable opportunities

Who you are… most candidates will have a bachelor's degree and two (2) years of account management or marketing experience, while the ideal candidate will have three (3) or more years and be knowledgeable in utility industry regulations and trends as well as technological concepts and processes as they relate to the utility industry.
