Occupational Health Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant)

Colorado Springs Utilities is hiring an Advanced Practice Provider (NP, PA) to join our Safety and Health team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about high quality occupational health care and dedicated to supporting the wellness and safety of our employees. This position will allow you to balance family life with standard duty hours Monday-Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. The direct patient treatment demands of this position are such that allow broader responsibilities such as Industrial Health surveillance, care coordination and records management. Pay Ranges:**

  • **Physician Assistant $77,771


  • **Nurse Practitioner $70,678


Qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Must possess an active license, in good standing, to practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the state of Colorado or Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. NCCPA Board Certified. Maintains necessary CME requirements as outlined by the NCCPA

  • Two or more years of progressive clinical experience providing medical services for occupational injuries or primary/urgent/emergency care services for the adult population

  • Must have current state and federal DEA certification and be able to prescribe schedule II through V medications/narcotics

  • Must be registered with the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners or become certified within 3 months of employment

  • BLS / AED certifications

  • IH Surveillance Testing (Audiograms, PFT/Respirator Fit Testing, Vision Testing, etc.)

  • Department of Transportation (DOT) and Wildland Fire Team exams

  • Drug testing

Preferred candidates will have the following:

  • Knowledge of the Colorado Workers’ Compensation system and Colorado Medical Treatment Guidelines

  • Manage AED program

  • Office administration and records management
