We are actively seeking a collaborative individual to help administer an evolving suite of energy efficiency, demand response, energy storage, renewable energy, electric vehicles, distributed energy and other emerging technology programs. As a member of the Demand Side Management (DSM) and Distributed Energy Strategies (DSR) team, you will report directly to the DSR Managing Engineer. You will work collaboratively within the DSR team, with the Water Demand Management team, and with stakeholder groups throughout the utility and municipal government to deliver products and solutions that meet both operational and customer needs across multiple utility services.

In this role, you will interact directly with customers, industry trade allies, implementation contractors, and a variety of utility subject matter experts. You will work as a change agent to deliver innovative resources to provide measurable results at scale while creating outstanding customer experiences. You will help to implement important parts of Colorado Springs Utilities' Energy Vision, for the benefit of generations to come.

As a Program Administrator, you will:

  • Develop, implement, administer, and manage a variety of programs in support of the strategic direction

  • Establish goals, objectives, priorities, and schedules for projects and programs

  • Develop program operational plans, marketing plans, incentives and budgets in collaboration with stakeholder groups through the utility

  • Coordinate day-to-day operation of programs, including tracking, forecasting, and updating customer information records, and resolving customer issues

  • Recommend, interpret, and implement operational policies, procedures, and practices

  • Evaluate program effectiveness; recommend and implement enhancements

  • Work collaboratively with Business Account Management, Customer Experience, Service Center, and Planning and Engineering and other utility staff to continuously improve programs

  • Assist other members of the DSR team with program planning, design and delivery tasks

  • Represent assigned programs and interests as liaison to internal and external groups

  • Procure products and services required to deliver programs, including development of contract scope, selection of vendors, and development of customer agreements.

  • Manage contracts and oversee external service providers

  • Research, compile, interpret, and makes recommendations based on relevant information and data

  • Design and deliver presentations, workshops, and training regarding programs to internal and external interests

What will it take to be successful in this position? The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business, public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field. Successful candidates will offer four or more years of relevant business or program management experience or possess an equivalent combination of advanced education and experience. Leadership and demonstrated program management experience is preferred,as this position will require a balance of interpersonal and logical skills as well a desire to learn and share in an era of rapid industry change.
