Quality Assurance Lead (BSA Lead)
Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking an Information Technology Quality Assurance and Testing Lead to join the Quality Assurance Portfolio Department. In this job you will work under the direction of the IT Quality Assurance and Test Supervisor in assisting, leading, maturing and sustaining the program. We are not only looking for a leader, but also someone who can take direction, all the while, implementing industry Q&A best practices, planning, organizing, and coordinating with individual project test leads. Key Areas of Focus:
Leading a team to design an effective automation framework to include the evaluation of processes, procedures, tools, licensing, cost analysis, and making appropriate recommendations
Perform manual testing, writing project test plans, developing requirements traceability matrices, writing/executing test cases, and defect logging
Researching, evaluating, recommending test management tools and procedures to include licensing, cost analysis, and making appropriate recommendations
Collaborate with all levels of leadership and departments across the organization
Reviewing and giving input to the testing standards and processes including:
Manual, performance, and automated testing functions for IT Projects and maintenance release cycles
Creation and implementation of testing templates to include test plans, traceability matrices, test case templates for unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing
Defect tracking and prioritization
Developing and communicating testing Return On Investment (ROI) metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
Participation in requirements gathering for business, technical, functional, and non-functional requirements
The program includes testing of independent objectives for software packages, infrastructure to support those packages, configuration, development, enhancements, patching, upgrades, integrations, and implementation of commercial off the shelf and custom-developed enterprise applications
Who you are: You will bring 7+ years of progressive experience as Test Lead in a relevant information technology-oriented field as an analyst or systems engineer. Additionally, come with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology, Software Engineering or a closely related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

Implementing complex functional and non-functional tests requiring an understanding of application logic
The ability to lead teams and drive results
Quality control concepts and methodologies, and Automated testing tools and processes
Experience installing and administering test management tools and testing software suites; ability to develop automated testing processes and scripts
Experience with testing multiple products and going through multiple release cycles
Structure and behavior of .NET C#, XML, and Java applications; knowledge of databases and the ability to write SQL queries
ITIL and Change Management and Release Management Processes
