Senior Analyst - Supply Chain Analytics

***A Hybrid Telework Schedule will be considered for this position; hybrid is defined as a pre-determined blend of working from home and in the office.

We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Supply Chain Management team. In this job, you will spend your time working with big data, performing data analyses and reporting which will impact actionable decision-making for the Supply Chain Group, using programs like Maximo, Power Query, Power BI, Power BI Report Builder, MS Access, and Excel. If you have solid data analysis, research, and reporting capabilities in the areas we are seeking and enjoy working in a team environment, this is the job for you!

Within this position at Colorado Springs Utilities, we will continually stretch your capabilities by exposing you to the advanced functions within the Supply Chain department as you progress in your development.

Key Areas of Focus...

  • Developing Power BI dataflows, reports, paginated reporting, and dashboards – using Power Query and visualizations

  • Developing automation processes with the use of SharePoint, MS Forms, Teams, MS Access, Excel, Power BI, Power Automate and Power Apps

  • Developing and editing team processes, training, and data analysis documentation

  • Extracting and analyzing large data sets to proactively identify improvement opportunities to Integrate data sets into clear metrics and dashboards/reports to drive decision making

  • Collaborating closely with business partners to work through systems issues and to identify/implement process improvements and optimization

  • Working with all levels of the organization, including presenting and discussing information and responding to questions

What will make you successful in this role... Highly qualified candidates will offer a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, data analytics, materials management, economics, accounting, or related field along with high proficiency in Excel, Office 365 Suite including Access, Power Query, and Power BI experience (or other data visualization experience) is highly preferred for this role. Understanding of data mining concepts and previous experience with SharePoint development, PowerApps, Power Automate & Mobile Apps is highly desirable. Additionally, we are seeking someone who demonstrates the following competencies, skills, and abilities, so please be sure to highlight them on your application:

  • Experience in Maximo, Power Query, Power BI, Power BI Report Builder, MS Access, and Excel

  • Understanding of Supply Chain processes; Forecasting, Procurement, Approval Limits, Turn Around Times, Receiving, Warehousing, Cycle Counts, Turn Ratios, Rotatable Inventory, Investment Recovery, Fleet Maintenance, Invoicing, and Vendor Management

  • Advanced understanding of scripting, Power BI – M & DAX, Macros, HTML, and VBA

  • Proficient problem solver who can drive projects to completion through analytical ability, attention to detail, ability to dive deep and determine the impact to cross systems and processes

  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated
