Senior ETL/Data Integration Developer
Colorado Springs Utilities is hiring a Senior ETL/Data Integration Developer to join our team! In this job you will build and maintain the data warehouse technical environment and the technical and business processes needed to deliver integrated data in support of operational functions, compliance requirements, and business intelligence activities.
In the role of Senior ETL/Data Integration Developer, you will work in a state-of-the-art environment using the latest Oracle Cloud at Customer and ExaCC cloud solutions, utilizing Data Integration Platform Cloud (DIPC) inclusive of Oracle Golden Gate (OGG), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) and other related software and tools. In addition, the individual in this role will contribute to the planning, design and execution of the new enterprise data warehouse platform.
Collaborate and partner in the design and gathering of business needs for Business Intelligence and Analytics at Colorado Springs Utilities
Plan, design, build and maintain the data warehouse technical environment
Employ best practices and enterprise data warehouse strategies to plan, design and implement system processes that provide decision support data for knowledge workers engaged in reporting, query and analysis
Assist in designing a limited set of new/revised data integration patterns to fit the new platform architecture and Oracle tools
Design and build transactional and analytics data integration solutions using defined patterns as a part of our transition to the new Oracle Utilities Analytics Suite
Collaborate with and support other members of our team as they migrate and build existing and new application integration (primarily SOA-based) solutions using Oracle SOA and MFT tools
Mentor other technical staff on best practices and out of the box technical functionality
Provide clear and timely communication and documentation to technical and business audiences
Develop strong partnerships with other internal teams and with business customers
Engage in projects, small enhancements, changes and support activities
Learn the business practices and requirements of our customers and use best practices and patterns to meet their needs
Leverage patterns and automation for productivity improvement
Apply continuous improvement principles to our processes and documentation
Initiate problem solving and collaboration within our team and across units/sections
Ensure solutions can be integrated, deployed, operated and maintained in a cost-effective and timely manner
Ensure technical designs are compliant with development and architecture standards
Produce design, release and support documents that describe how to manage the implementation and integration of technical environments that support business strategies
Maintain high quality business intelligence data based on the availability of information in the system(s) of records (source systems)
Provide data warehouse and business intelligence support by establishing and maintaining effective health and performance monitoring, responding to support requests and incidents in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and providing root cause analysis on problems as situationally appropriate
Utilize appropriate tools and technological components to perform work
Perform Extract, Transfer and Load (ETL) development & Support using ODI
Perform data integration work as needed to evolve and maintain the Enterprise Data Warehouse

What will it take to be successful in this position? The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in using Oracle tools for design and development of data integration and warehousing. A Bachelor's degree in computer technology or a closely related field is desired, along with requisite experience.
The ideal candidate should have experience with 1 or more of the following Oracle data integration and management solutions:
Oracle Golden Gate (OGG)
Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
Oracle application frameworks (e.g. J2EE, ADF, OUAF, WebLogic, etc.)
In addition, experience with the following will be helpful:
Oracle Fusion and Oracle Utilities Application solutions
Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI)
Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher
Oracle Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ)
Enterprise semantic modeling SQL Developer Data Modeler (SDDM)
Oracle MFT, OSB, BPEL and other SOA Suite tools
