Our Network Enterprise Services (NES) Portfolio group is seeking an experienced network security professional with a strong background in Cisco and with network and cyber security. Our team oversees the planning, architecture, design, installation, maintenance, and support of communications infrastructure for IT, OT, wi-fi, and data center networks, along with their reliability and performance. NES also manages communications security technologies, including firewalls and VPNs. In this role, you will configure, install, deploy, and manage IT and OT access routers and switches, wireless controllers and access points, and network security devices for the entire organization. You will have the opportunity to be part of several network upgrades, including the transition of Control Networks onto a new transport network infrastructure, a move to Software Defined Networking in two onsite data centers, and a network security architecture change.
What will you be doing?
Configuring and supporting ethernet-based internal and external network connections and interfaces, and developing and maintaining network configuration management applications
Troubleshooting network performance issues, and creating and maintaining network availability management processes and techniques
Monitoring and analyzing organization-wide communications system performance to ensure high-quality transmission
Designing network installations and configurations
Testing and validating circuits, hardware, and connections for proper configuration and performance, and ensuring all equipment and cabling are installed for network reliability
Designing, planning, and overseeing installation and maintenance of wireless systems, including coverage modeling and prediction, interference analysis, configuration, and equipment layout
Planning, designing, developing, and implementing LANs and WANs across the organization
Anticipating and mitigating potential attacks through network or other connections to ensure system security
Designing, implementing, installing, upgrading, testing, and troubleshooting telecommunications services and equipment
Installing, monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links, and making recommendations for improvements
Please note that this position operates on a 24/7 on-call rotation schedule.
Who you are...
Relevant and progressively responsible experience with network and cyber security
Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related discipline is valued
Knowledge of and experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls and Palo Alto Firewalls
Knowledge of and experience with Cisco ACI, Cisco Prime, Cisco ISE, and SolarWinds is valued
Certification in Security+ is valued
