Why You Should Join Our Team
Our Enterprise Portfolio team is seeking a SharePoint System Administrator to be our subject matter expert for onsite and online SharePoint administration and functionality for all of Colorado Springs Utilities. The Enterprise Portfolio team is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the functionality of the Office 365 suite of products used in our organization, including SharePoint, email administration, Microsoft Teams, and PowerPlatform. You will have the opportunity to lead and facilitate projects and initiatives around SharePoint migration, intranet replacement, and eB document management system upgrade. How You Will Make an Impact
Researching SharePoint application features, functions, and services to understand best practices for setup, configuration, administration, maintenance, and support
Supporting on-premises SharePoint farms across our technology stack (network, server, operating system, application, database, and front-end)
Researching Microsoft 365 and Azure to understand hybrid architecture between onsite SharePoint and Microsoft 365 (Search, OneDrive, Power Platform integrations)
Understanding and supportingPowerShell, PowerAutomate, and PowerApps
Designing and implementing eB system upgrade to the latest platform standards, and systems that automate platform maintenance
Providing guidance to staff and users in the use of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 products
Reviewing, analyzing, and matching the functional capabilities of information systems to business requirements
Troubleshooting user issues and system errors, including researching the root cause of the problem and working with vendors and IT to resolve
Patching, monitoring, upgrading, and maintaining cyber compliance, including using zero downtime patching for SharePoint to reduce business impact
Please note that this position requires 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or a closely related field is valued, along with an ITIL v3 certification
SharePoint administration and functionality subject matter expert
Knowledge of and experience with eB document management software is valued
Windows Server administration and troubleshooting expertise, IIS knowledge, and Oracle and SQL database knowledge while following NERC compliance
Staying updated on and communicating documents application changes and impacts on business capabilities
