Our Information Technology Infrastructure Department is seeking a Systems and Database Lead to play a fundamental role in the operations, monitoring, and alerting of our IT Infrastructure and systems across IT. In this role, you will take the lead in the development, configuration, implementation & administration of a monitoring program including devices, hardware, databases, and software application systems. As the Monitoring and Alerting Lead, you will be the key point of contact responsible for identifying metrics for reliability and resiliency which will streamline IT performance by collaborating with IT teams as you implement an advanced comprehensive monitoring program to get pro-active alerts on system disruption and outages before it creates business impact.

Key areas of focus...

  • Ensure the successful development, configuration, installation, integration, and deployment of application monitoring tools and solutions in various production and non-production environments

  • Install application monitoring tools working with the infrastructure teams, and report application metrics with the ultimate goal of preventing problems and improving IT effectiveness

  • Analyze reported incidents and problems for the applications assesses patterns, make recommendations, and implement monitoring solutions.

  • Prepare and maintains technical documentation to assist with the operation, maintenance, and development of the monitoring

  • Create and executes application and system test procedures after tools implementation

  • Identify critical business transactions and implements tools to manage alert and response

  • Identify opportunities for streamlining processes through automation

  • Work with the primary AMS support team to provide industry-leading service and support

  • Lead implementation of tools and monitoring with Outsourcing providers

  • Manage and ensure Security remediation Implementation for all findings

  • Service maintenance employing ITIL principles

  • Lead problem Management and resolution

  • Provide Instrumentation for proactive diagnostic insight into the health of applications

  • Create systems for error handling and logging

  • End-to-end ownership of managing the application of the tools and ensuring the on-time updates & upgrades done

Who you are…. The ideal candidate will offer a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or 6 years of equivalent experience, experience in monitoring tools. We are also interested in the following skills so please make sure to highlight them on your application/resume:

• Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Shell, etc.) & Automation tools knowledge (ansible, terraform, etc.)

• SolarWinds, NagiosXI, Zabbix, OpsRamp, Nagios Core with experience of 3-8 yrs

• Domain knowledge - Server, Network, Virtualization, Public Clouds, Application (Database, AD & DNS,) Containers.

• Good at partnering, innovating, and making things happen and are aligned to our core values

• A professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experienced in software application design tools and programming languages

• Excellent in verbal and written communication and presentation
