Come join our talented Integration & Access Management team within the Information Technology Services Department as a Systems Integration Lead . You will be responsible for providing leadership to Integration & Access Management staff, directing and guiding continuous improvement projects, developing operational strategy, and overseeing daily operations of applications/technologies in the Integration space.

You are excited about the opportunity to lead the implementation of continuous improvement projects to upgrade and add to our integration platforms (Azure Cloud API Management and BizTalk) to enhance our agility, increase efficiency, and streamline configuration and application connectivity. You will also have technical responsibility for the architecture, design, performance, integrity, reliability, and system-wide integration of applications, data, and technologies in the Enterprise integration department and will formulate system scope and objectives for assigned applications and projects. Furthermore, you will lead a team of talented senior integration engineers toward continuous improvement and development of systems and applications on the Microsoft stack.

Your job responsibilities include...

  • Ensuring that Colorado Springs Utilities’ goals and strategies are supported by the design and implementation of software integrations

  • Maintaining technical aspects of business recovery procedures, including specific responsibility for successful backup and recovery of integrations and integration platforms

  • Planning and overseeing the development, installation, and maintenance of integrations and integration platforms

  • Implementing continuous improvement projects, upgrading integration platforms, API management, and providing leadership and direction to staff and projects

  • Providing advice, requirements, specifications, and evaluation of system purchases and replacements

  • Ensuring the completion of maintenance and upgrades

  • Planning and scheduling work assignments of the team to ensure appropriate utilization of resources and timelines are met

  • Conducting research on technical issues, providing input and recommendations on future technology directions for Colorado Springs Utilities, and researching and evaluating system-related software and equipment

Who you are...

You are likely someone who comes with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a closely related field, and/or extensive experience in integrations, software development or a related application development environment. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of and skill in Azure API Management. In addition to the technical aspects of this job, you are excited about the opportunity to work with other IT Software Integration professionals and interested in continuing to enhance the software applications used by Colorado Springs Utilities to support our long-term goals and strategies.
