Wanted: Bright Ideas, Powerful Convictions and Business Experience. The Colorado Springs Utilities Board is seeking volunteers to fill two (2) regular and two (2) alternate member vacancies as members of the Utilities Policy Advisory Committee (UPAC). UPAC is a fact-finding body that reviews, analyzes and provides recommendations to the Utilities Board regarding policy direction for Colorado Springs Utilities.
Interested individuals must provide a resume and cover letter as well as be a customer of Colorado Springs Utilities and possess skills and experience in financial or business professions.
Appointments are made for a term of three years, with a maximum of three consecutive terms. Selected candidates generally begin as alternate (non-voting) members. When a regular (voting) seat becomes available, alternate members may be considered for the open seat. The Utilities Board may appoint alternate, non-voting members of the Committee to gain experience and observe the Committee’s deliberations and actions. Alternates may participate in Committee discussions. UPAC meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month, 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Blue River Board Room on the fifth floor of the South Tower in the Plaza of the Rockies (121 S. Tejon Street).

Starting pay will be determined at the time of offer based on the experience, education, and training of the successful candidate.
